Stewart, you really need to get over seeing Jobs, it was probably just some other bald skinny guy in a black jumper and jeans....

Anyhoo, I reckon Phil or Tim Cook would take over, the stock would take a massive hit and would be fairly benign until they found a new charismatic leader once more. Apple's stock soars on Steve's keynotes, he could bring out a highly polished iTurd and put it in a box and the stock would soar 5 or 6 percent in a few minutes of release.

They'd really have to focus on making their products the absolute best there is on the market to get the stock market reacting to actual products rather than rolling along in the RDF.
I'm waiting on the rev.b iTurd with bluetooth.

For me Apple is more than just Steve Jobs, you have had some great guys over the years like Steve Wozniak, Guy Kawasaki, Jean-Lous Gassee (I am too lazy to put the accented e in).. but yes since Steve Jobs came back to Apple he brought great things, and has indeed been the key figure of Apple since his return. However, I feel that Apple would survive without Steve Jobs, because they always have great faces involved, and I think we would see great things from others. As for the RDF, that is there with the whole company, not just with Steve.

I'm telling you, If they made a consumer version of the RFDA I would be first in line to purchase one.
It would be great to discreetly leave it in a professor's office on exam grading day...:)

What's "RFDA"? The Regional Food and Drug Agency? :p :D

It's Matt. But... it was him. :D

And I'm not saying the "God." in my avatar part is saying that God! Why don't you believe me type thing...

Oh well... I'll change my avatar...sometime.

To be honest, I watched the keynote from last night and he looked half dead anyway. Not many funny jokes, no digs at Microsoft. Infact he wasnt even showing the usual enthusiasm from previous keynotes. He kept making mistakes and then was having to correct himself. That stuff about "I'm an audiophile and I've got expensive hifi, and I've replaced my kit with the boombox thing...blah blah blah" was just sooooooooooo fake. C'mon this was 20% Jobs doing 20% of his job. Maybe he was drunk?
