And I'm not sure I'd agree with how you describe Steve Jobs's second coming to Apple. Yes, he brought the company back from a slump, but before all that, he had hired the biggest moron (John Sculley) who did the stupidest things ever to the company and (if i remember correctly) Jobs was still chairman of Apple the whole time, which would mean he was there when the Board of Directors fired Sculley and hired more idiots (Michael Spindler, who was forced to quit by his doctor, which led to the hiring of Gil Amelio, who got kicked out when Apple bought NeXT and Steve Jobs came back)

No comment. Since I'm not that familiar with the whole history of Apple and I'm to lazy and not that interested in chain of events to the point that Steve left.

And frankly, I think most people can agree, Apple would be nowhere near where it is right now if it wasn't for the success of iPod and iTunes. But before people went all crazy over those two, it was just another MP3 player and just another music playing app. And someday they won't be so popular.

Yes I agree with the major push of the iPod and iTunes apple would not be even close to the success that they are enjoying right now.

But if it wasn't for the people who actually did all the hard work, what would Apple be right now?

I don't know,.. maybe for sale?

But where would Apple be right now without Steve J.? ..my answer: Probably in the same situation!

I think a company needs to have the total package for success. Great minds that can lead a company in the right directions and hard working people to follow through. I think apple has a nice balance of this right now. Hopefully it will last for awhile.

I don't see him as an individual I would go out of my way to meet. Sure, he's the best CEO in all the world for what he's done, but that means little to me deep down. I'd like to meet some of the Tuskugee (spell?) Airmen, or Edward Norton (for his outside of acting achievements) or soem hot ladies before I met Jobs.
