Grab a Sister Sledge Hammer and make a Hulk SMA$H video in front of 1k fan girls and bois. Ustream the whole thing and then upload it to Youtube.

Actually, having something violent and vulgar is a pretty good idea. It would make a change after those unimaginative Apple ads, featuring the same style over and over.
Besides, you might not want to 'service' the obvious target groups, but to appeal to a wider audience.
Kill the clinical boredom and introduce some real life, dirt and sweat!
Funny enough, I work at an ad agency, but the iPads are not for an advertisement.
No it isn't. A sphere might be interesting from a 360 PoV, but a cube is just so 1980's.
The 80s were great. iPad rubix cube FTW!
Now we're talking. Anyone have an idea of how to mount an iPad to the wall non-destructively on the cheap?

I'd mount them on my office desk, edge to edge, several rows tall, to form a large curved multi-panel touch display station in front of me.
Every one of them would be running a different app - email, stocks, weather, news, documents, YouTube, you name it.
I'd learn how to efficiently multi-task like a madman, tapping furiously away at multiple screens at once, getting my work done at lightning speed and still having time for a couple games or a movie.
It would be multi-touch heaven. It would look like the "operator" workstation in The Matrix. My coworkers would think I was an evil genius or at least a god of technology.
Yeah, that's what I want. And one at home too. That would kick ass...

I doubt there's much more to explore that hasn't been done with every other video wall. A cube or sphere is only a modest variation of that.
I would play to the devices strengths. Light weight portability with a great screen. Since the iPad is roughly head sized what about some sort of hooded mask where the iPad would replace the face. You could then have 18 actor/dancers with iPads for faces. You could then have one actor play all the roles in the scene recorded on the iPad, or sing an acapella song where the singer sings all the parts and becomes a choir unto himself, maybe Bobby Mcferrin style. Perhaps even use celebrities and recreate a "We are the World" or something similar. Would be a good ad for the iPad.
Or you could go more subtle with the performance art and use them as serving trays for a cocktail party.
