If you are a designer with a budget of $2,600(for hardware) what would your optimal system config?? would you go performance or portability.

What would I do--- I would first make a list of the types of work I do, the programs I want to use (and whether that budget had to include software or not), and the priorities I had for portability and screen size, then I would post that list on a reputable Mac community site.
