What would you pay for a G5 Power Mac?

Hi Guys,

I'm currently on the hunt for a Boxee tower. Obviously I could go get a cheap Win machine, or Ubuntu, and that's what I'm doing right as I post to tide me over.

However now that I've had my taste of Mac and OS X, I would prefer a Mac tower to take over. I'm currently looking at a G5 Power Mac, 1.6, 80GB, 512mb. It's on the NZ variant of Ebay going very cheap - $34 USD if I converted for most of you. It has been formatted and has no OS.

What would you guys pay for this machine?

Also, probably a stupid question, but might as well ask - Could the OS X disc from my MacBook install on the G5?

And finally, there are masses of G4 Power Macs there too, would these have the go power for what I'm after. This will after all only be connected to a T.V.

No, it is locked to that specific version of the Macbook.

And so hope crushing, just found Boxee does not support PPC. Stink.

Given the price figure in the last post, I'll still buy the tower if it comes along at the right price though.
