It seems like there is too much negative concerning the MBA so I thought I would start a thread emphasizing the positive.
    • I love the small size and weight
    • It is faster than the specs would lead you to believe
    • The screen is great
    • The keyboard is awesome
Finally the form factor makes having the MBA on your lap and working for hours on end a real pleasure!

So what do you love about your MBA?

    All of the above! ^

I never used my MBP on my lap because it was a bit too heavy and a bit too warm....downright toasty, in fact! The MBA is amazing in how it is just right on one's lap, no toastiness, easy to use the keyboard, wonderful monitor screen.....

I love the way the MBA invites me to carry it with me wherever I go around the house, it really doesn't like being anchored to one spot the way my other machines are. I love the looks and feel of the MBA, I love its elegant shape and brushed aluminum. I am still getting the hang of the gestures things on the touchpad -- especially like the zoom feature!

This is my first Apple computer and I love it. I absolutely love the multi touch pad and being able to do various things with it (especially the two finger scroll). I'm still learning quite a lot but my MBA has been keeping up with me. The look and the feel of the computer is absolutely grand. It makes me think why no one else has designed something similar (not necessarily as thin, but as sleek) as this? Everything before has been boxy. It's interesting how a couple curves can really make a computer that much more pleasing to the eye and to the touch.

I love the form factor. The thinness really is amazing. Again, I'm using the MBA as a travel laptop to complement what I have at home (2 MBPS, several M$ desktops and laptops, one windows Server) . Along with 15mbps download speeds, I have not missed any of the accessories such as the ethernet adapter and the superdrive. We'll see how it hold ups on my upcoming Asia trip.

I love that it's so light, but maintains a keyboard and screen that are actually usable for extended periods of time.

I am now spoiled by the gestures in Safari. It's painful to browse the web without them.

I love that it is not Windows !!!!!!! This is also my first Mac and honestly....I can not believe that Windows is still in business. After falling in love with my iPhone it gave me the courage to leave Windows for good. The MBA is the greatest laptop I have ever owned and for me...it is perfect in every way.:)

Been using it for two weeks now. I'm loving the form, the weight and the performance. Take it to work, surf the net at home, flawless. The only thing I could possibly ask for would be longer battery life, but we'll just have to wait for the battery technologies to advance.

So far I've been using it as a combo with my Mac Pro. Next month I'm going on a prolonged trip and MBA will be my only computer, primarily used for net and Aperture 2. I'm looking forward to the trip :)

Finally transferred everything from my old Thinkpad X40 (the USB ports all gave out today in a final dramatic death throw) and am using the Air on a regular basis, my favorite laptop ever for sure. Feels right for me, looks lovely, gorgeous screen, keyboard feels great for writing. And a joy to carry around.

Please don't say that too loud, wouldya? :D

I've been using mine for about two weeks now. I can't make up my mind, either the bright screen, the backlit keys, or the trackpad. Probably the screen, seeing as how the trackpad might just be a firmware update on the Macbooks and Macbook Pro's.

Just got mine this morning (1.8 SSD), and I have to say, I am very, very impressed :)
It's small, light, fast and very, very good looking: Took it into the office this afternoon and people have been swarming round it ever since...
The machine oozes quality from the moment you open the box (why don't other companies pay such attention to their packaging? It really makes a big difference to the whole buying experience): It is solidly built and just feels "right"
The keyboard is fantastic (and the black keys look much better in real life than in photos), and the trackpad superb with the additional multi-touch capabilities.
Performance wise, I can't tell any subjective difference from my old MBP 2.16: VMWare works like a charm, as does everything else I've thrown at it today.
I used to have the 12" PowerBook a few years ago, and for me this is the best portable Apple have produced since that one, and it is a natural successor to it to my mind.

I like how the bottom is "curve shaped", which makes it much more comfortable than a normal laptop to have on your lap. Curve shaped from side to side, that is, not from front to back.

I love how FEW compromises it makes in terms of usability. This is the first laptop in forever that doesn't make me feel like I'm compromising by using a portable. On the lap or on the desk is as comfortable as sitting in front of a 24" iMac, the only difference is the size of the display (not the quality). I feel all the benefits of a notebook and very few of the disadvantages.

Why don't you also say that if Madame Tussauds should make one for her wax museum, the wax model would be heavier!

I've only just had mine for approximately 24 hours. :p

What I truly love about it?

    • Weight- Yes, I knew about it going in to it, but I wasn't quite prepared for just how much of a difference you feel moving it around. The mind says, "Oh really, 2lbs really isn't much at all!" But the body says otherwise. It feels deceptively light. Yum.
    • Aluminum casing- it's been awhile since I had my 12"PB and boy do I miss the smooth elegant feel and look of the aluminum. 'S no fun when it gets terrifically hot, but for most of the time? It's gorgeous.

Of course there are other "features" that I love, but those were the two that really struck me.

yeah, it's nice how the aluminum case is put together. there's no plastic borders like the mbp
