-You guys bought one of our silly bridges in London and took it back home brick by brick.

Yes, but even in the Desert, it's still called London Bridge :)

Chicagoans are an interesting lot, our stubbornness leans toward the practical side.

Cloudgate? No. "The Bean". So stubbornly so the artist (Anish Kapoor, a British artist, no less) acknowledged its nickname at the dedication ceremony.

Soldier Field is still Soldier Field, despite that it looks like a UFO crash-landed in it. Most HATE the architecture slam-up.

Trump Tower, well, not fit to print...

aaand Macy's is still Marshal Fields

And Chicagoans (is that a word?) will continue to call it the Sears Tower as they call Macy's, Marshall Field.

You got that right. Everyone in the city is angry about both of those things. Marshall Field's will NEVER be Macy's- EVER. Same goes for the Sears Tower and Comiskey Park.

Marshall Fields forever! I miss those green bags, they looked much more classy than the Macy's bags they have now.

Same goes for the Allstate Arena, it will always be the Rosemont Horizon to me.
