I did this a few months ago, and I promised that I would do it periodically, but I haven't. I'm going to try and do this now.

What apple product are you most looking forward to?

Oh, and the title of this thread relates to that Gwen Stefani song, even though I can't stand it.

Damn it, I forgot Leopard and iLife and iWork!

Oh well, just vote for those in "Other." It will close after 14 days, anyway.

I'm hoping for a less jack-of-all trades iphone (aka cheaper). Apart from that I'd like Apple to stop making products so I could stop spending money :D

A Ultra thin MBP like the Sony TX. Need something to be with my MBP 17" in my backpack.

It doesn't need to be any thinner. It is one thing when the lid on the current MBPs warp. It is another thing when the whole MBP decides to go banana. Apple definitely should rethink this whole aluminum thing is they are going to make it any thinner because where I come from aluminum is only good for things like drink cans.

Your MBP warped iw00t? Never did, did it? Oh yeah... I think you said once, or twice... either that or its all you ever go on about.

Alloy is only good for drinks cans? You better not get on an plane then, whoops. Or in a lot of modern day cars.

It warps not because of the case (wouldn't plastic laptops warp even more then?) but because the underlying chassis - which is probably magnesium like most other premium laptops I own - doesn't have enough structural integrity. The casing can be papier-maché - If the chassis is up to it, the laptop will not bend.

It's not about the material, but Apple's inadequately bleeding edge engineering given the manufacturing resources at their disposal.

My Sony SZ flexes because of the carbon fibre, but it snaps shut dead straight. The HP nx9420 17" laptop is all-plastic but it's still as straight as a ruler despite having seen much roughter use than the MBP. That's because they know what they're doing, and they know what the manufacturing side can achieve.

Ahhh I stand corrected. I guess Apple is filled with artists rather than engineers!

In this order of preference:

The long awaited much debated we would be elated consumer cube.
along with new iSight Displays.

Settle for a new iMac, preferrably Black.
and no, not back to the G4 style, but I'd be interested to see what the new case evolves too.

Won't buy the iMac till Leopard. Would get in line all night for a cube.
What good is :apple:tv till I have n.

Won't drool over a phone till I can hold it in my hands. Then I might want one. Need more info 1st. Might go rev B. on that one.

iPhone like 6G iPod. I have too many other wants 1st. So it really would be about as exciting as colored shuffles. Release a revision/new computer. Come on already.

I'm waiting for new MacBooks. Well, I'm not really waiting for new MacBooks as much as I'm waiting to have enough money to buy one. It would be nice if there is an upgrade and/or Leopard is released before I get the money though.

Apart from the fact that Leopard is indeed missing, this is a poll that would require more options. I'm waiting for Leopard and the iPhone, and I really mean 'waiting' since both will find their way to my house as soon as they arive. Leopard probably on an iMac, new or not doesn't really matter to me ;)

while i really like the performance of my macbook CD, i really miss the portability of the 12" powerbook i had. if apple made a 12" macbook pro, i'd sell my macbook in a heartbeat and snap up one of those ultra-small macbook pro's...

of course, i'm also dying to get the iphone, but that's been announced and we more or less know what to expect. a smaller macbook pro is my current "dream" apple product...
