It's a 2.7 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HD, works perfectly, with keyboard and mouse.

What's it realistically worth?

Do a quote online from Powermax.com, they will get back to you in 24 hours. I have traded in a few mac's with them in the past.

Thanks. I was not clear - I'm looking at buying it. I've seen sold ones range from about $550 on up; would like a sanity check that $450 is reasonable.

Personally, I feel that $450 for a 27" is quite reasonable. It's not even bad for the 21.5 but quite nice for the 27.
(my 21.5 is a 2011)

Sounds like a good price. They are selling from the refurbished store for double that.

That's the model down from mine. I'd suggest that you may want to get a 1TB or larger SSD in the spare drive slot, this will allow you to run the system at full speed, some 10 to 12 times faster than the HDD.
You should be able to get a thunderbolt dock (TB 2 will work with your TB 1 ports) and use USB 3 and an external monitor/tv through HDMI.
As you have 2 x TB ports, you could also get a TB drive for ultrafast time machine backups.

Thanks - didn't know they were still available.

Wound up buying it for $350. It is BIG!

They aren't available from Apple. That image was from a third party site. I think $949 is an absurd asking price for something of that era that isn't factory refurbished. Third party refurbishers typically offer at most a 90 day warranty, and it's approaching the age where Apple will no longer be able to repair it if anything goes wrong.
