So far I've customised my control centre (that's my favourite update), I've switched off app icon labels on the home screen, and....

Is there anything else new in the first beta?

Why don't you play around with it a bit more, I'm sure you'll discover more.

There are also a plethora of YouTube videos going over all of the new features, not to mention Apples own WWDC. Plus you can jump onto Macrumors home page and read all about the features there also.

1. I am playing around with it, but other people have likely played it around with it already and have answers.
2. I don't like YouTube videos. If I did I'd do that, rather than hang on a text based forum like this one.
3. The new features are not all in beta 1, hence the question.

Thanks, I'm having a look through that thread.

I'm wondering more about the *big* features though. It's easy enough to list the ones that are not in beta 1, such as RCS, email categorisation, and all the apple intelligence powered stuff. What I'm wondering is which of the actual new things shown off in the keynote are available right now?
Mail AI stuff comes later this year presumably as part of Apple Intelligence (so waitlist beta limited to US language).
RCS has no label indicating it comes later this year, but it‘s not included in Beta 1 so the general consensus is that it gets added in a future beta release (happens a lot that they don‘t include everything in the first few betas).

//EDIT: read it wrong, my bad. Most things should be in other than AI and RCS functionality.

Ooh, text formatting and arbitrary emoji reactions are both in. Text formatting is a little limited (I kinda wish they'd support semi-standard markup such as `code spans`) but it'll do, and I'm a big fan of finally being able to use dinosaurs instead of thumbs-up. Let's hope MacRumors starts allowing this too :p

And of course reminders in calendar. Finally! :D
