They really sent you a nasty email about something like this (or really anything at all)?

I also tried to get a comment on this topic from whatsapp support, but they just replied, that they don't comment on future plans...

While I really like to use their service, I absolutely don't like their attitude...

Yes they did. It was highly unprofessional. I just emailed them saying that it wasn't working and was just wanting to help them out. I said as a developer I understood that it was nicer to know these things sooner rather than later so that your customers, like theirs last year, don't have to wait months after the actual iOS is released (I didn't mention last year, however). They replied harshly and in an unacceptable manner. Needless to say, I replied back and they never responded again.

IVe got the later beta running now signed with my own developers account. Working great except for notificatons. Those arent coming trough

How did you get the ipa file? I can also sign by myself, but do not find the beta ipas

Any Ideal to Fix the Problem with Notifikation?

Its not gonna work because we have the wrong certificate... We'll need to wait for whatsapp to release the 2.11.9 version...

Edit: It IS working for me now! See post below...

Notifications are working for me now with the beta version. I removed whatsapp completely, reinstalled from the App Store. Then it worked again, notifications coming though but with the "ff, fi" bug.. Then i installed the beta signed with my own certificate over the app store version and the push notifications are still coming trough! :)

Heeeeeelp!!

Question ,
If I have a developer account at apple . Does that mean I can download the whatsapp beta ?

Or do I need whatsapp to put my udid somewhere ?

Thanks

Hi all!! Can anyone answer to this question also for me? HEEEEELP!!! :(

You can download the whatsapp beta, but you will have to sign it with you're own certificate. Then you can install and use it on you're iPhone

Well, you need to create a mobileprovision certificate, then use a tool to resign the beta .ipa with you're own cert.

Try some googling

Thank you so much! and WhatsApp v2.11.9.898.ipa is the latest beta version?

do you know where I can find instruction how to do it? On google you can read a lot of difference things about it... :(

Apollo1444, I'm not a dev, but wanted a workaround for the problem, as I like trying out the betas. This forum has helped with that in the other whatsapp thread. No need to be a condescending douche. Obviously got too much time on your hands to go into threads you know you'll hate just to attack those of us that like to play with beta software...

Guys I went trough for some situations that you describe here. I kept in touch with an italian friend that explained to me some details about Whatsapp and its beta process.

First, in order to push notifications work properly in iOS 8 beta 2 with Whatsapp beta you have to disable iCloud chat backup. Inside app, go to chat setting and set chat backup to none. Then you'll have notifications back.

Second, It's very hard to find (have googled extensively with no luck) an updated ipa. Who published .828 ipa file claims that works in iOS 8 beta 2 without problems, and in my experience was totally a mess. It freezes constantly and iPhone heats up quickly with high battery consumption of course. What I think, is not true that it works well, because Whatsapp beta 2.11.9.828 was released before iOS 8 beta launch on WWDC so it makes no sense at all.

But there's a few links in the internet that connect to Whatsapp beta source that updates to current beta version instantly but when you install it on your iPhone it downloads over 2.11.8 (current in app store) but it says can't install, that try later. Of course with no provisioning profile and certificate it doesn't work neither.

So, said that, I purchased a developer certificate that works on Zeusmos and InstaSign. Question is, there is no place to find a Whatsapp beta 2.11.9.XXXX ipa file up to date to try it on. With dev certificate and the latest WA beta IPA it's possible to have best of both worlds, iOS 8 beta and a WA working properly.

Have any of you found a beta IPA file later than 2.11.9.828?

Send me a pm and ill send the link to the latest beta IPA. I dont wanna make this public, cause maybe whatsapp will take it down
