I have the old version of 1Password for my iPhone 4S.
It's ok, but i was thinking about upgrading to the new version...

Is the new Version better ?
I heard the new version only syncs with DropBox ?
which is a security issue and they have the nerve to Charge $18 for it!

    Thanks! F

Honestly I liked version three better. Four us slow as crap and crashed often for me and I like the interface on version three much much more.. Version four will sync with icloud but the desktop version cannot yet so if you use both the desktop and ios version then dropbox or wifi sync is your only option.

I think 4 is better. The UI is nicer and it works fine on both my iPhone 4 and 5. There are four options for sync: iCloud (iOS to iOS only for now), Dropbox, iTunes file sharing, and USB. The iTunes file sharing is manual, and it's not really true sync from what I understand. It's more like an option for backing up and restoring your data through iTunes. USB sync is currently in beta and requires an additional app.

I stuck with three because the app is important to me and I don't want to risk losing everything. didn't update on either ios or osx.

If you buy 3 or 4 for the iPhone would those not work with an iPad?

I searched the AppStore on my iPad and there is only one 1Password on there:confused:

They took v3 down shortly after v4 was released. v4 is a universal app, I'm not sure about v3.

    Thanks for the replies!

The iOS app seems so damn complicated!
They should try to make it more simple to use!

Recently there has been an influx of several different password managers. To me, though, I am a bit paranoid, and wonder how secure these new password apps are. Agle has been very upfront about their security and how it is maintained; I have no idea about these new comers.

To me, this is one of those apps that you REALLY don't want to so skimp on, security is not the place to do it.

On top of it all, always look to see what other versions are available, Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, even Web interface. There may be times where you need to access your passwords from one of these systems, and thus, having all the major OS's supported is a big plus.

    I developed it, so I am pretty confident in it's security. :) :) :)

Great, then could you comment on the methods you are taking to secure the contents of the data file and how you're protecting the master password.
