iPhone 17 is narrower but thicker and a bit heavier, while the iPhone Air is wider and thinner. Which iPhone do you think would be easier to use one-handed (or in general) if you have small weak hands?

For myself, regular 16/17 phone size almost reached the limit of use it with one hand. Air's larger and wider display might be too big.

Better to try by yourself in store.

The Air, less strain because it’s lighter, may need a bumper to reduce grip fatigue because it’s thinner.
Either way it’s a personal preference only truly satisfied by trying it at a store

17 Air.

I have arthritic hands, wrists, and elbows.

Would love a lighter phone than my current 16 Pro.

Tried 16 Plus (similar dimensions to an Air) in an Apple Store today, naturally without a case and it was doable, kind of right on the border for me. A 16 without a case was comfortable. Hmmm, what to do . . .

Wait until the 17 series comes out so you can compare.

It's possible the thinness of the Air could help offset for the increased width over the 16/17. However, that's something you'll have to try in-hand before you decide.
