With the new ratios and many older games not being updated, curious what other games everyone is playing?

Few that are on my list and support the new resolution are:

Clash Royale - Fun short MOBA game

VainGlory 5v5 - Create héroes and verse 5 other actual players on the other team all at 60FPS. Recently discovered this game and am quickly getting hooked.

Clash of Clans - Everyone knows about this one

Hearthstone - Not updated but was a good game. I've stopped till Blizzard starts supporting it again

Plants vs Zombies 2 got updated as well.

Is that a good game on the iPad? I remember playing it years ago the on PC, but I’ve lost track with it in recent years.

I’ve probably spent a few hundred hours or more playing Civ VI on the iPad. It’s just too convenient.

Identical to Civ VI on the PC (plain, not rise & fall). I hated. Civ V and IV. Played Civ 3 for about 14 years until Civ VI, basically.

Yup, it’s a very good game. Price varies between giveaway dlc’s on occasion and full price on others. I paid $60.00 Cdn for everything but I consider that a bargain.

Playing the game with pencil is not neccessary but very useful. Having 2 iPads makes possible plyr .vs. plyr or 2 player co-op .vs. Up to 8 AI players. and etc for more human players.

I wish all of my John Tiller war games were playable on the IPad Pro (Stalingrad, Rzhev, Moscow 42, Seven Years War, Panzer Battles Africa and Normandy, etc). That’s the only reason I still use my PC.

I played some war games on IOS; Drive on Moscow, Battle of the Bulge, Rome: Total War and Panzer Corps) but am looking for others. Also have but don’t like Ancient Wars.

Guess I’m looking for traditional counter/hex board wargames like Avalon Hill/SPI and so on. WW2 and Ancients preferred.

Tom

(Field of Glory 2 on the iPad Pro would be perfection)

FYI, when the iPhone X was released in the fall it took Blizzard until the following July to update the game to support the new resolution the iPhone X used.

Ya, I remember. Ever since Activision got ahold of them they haven't been the same company. I'm hopeful for Diablo coming out on mobile, but not holding my breath. I used to buy the expo decks, but their focus has become more on $$$ and less on polish. That to me equates to me spending less or any $$$. Cause and effect :)

Inside is a phenomenal game. Its from the makers of Limbo and is similar in concept and is a spectacular game. Looks and sounds wonderful on the new iPad Pro.

Limbo didn't really grab me (need to revisit it) but Inside was fantastic. Couldn't put it down.

I am a huge fan of Limbo. Its not for everyone but its such a unique and dark game. I've always loved it. I agree that Inside is fantastic. Really exceptional game.

I really need to revisit it. I didn't give it a proper chance. It didn't grab me initially and I had other games that were calling me.

I’m blown away by my IPad Pro gaming experience. Im looking forward to a whole laundry list of titles to come!

Most of all, the new Elderscrolls Blades title coming very soon.

Right now I play PUBG, and Ark Survival, and GRID.

Just like gaming on a console. The iPad Pro CPU will hammer a Xbox one X CPU, so at our lower native resolution than 4K, performance is going to be pretty good as we are not CPU limited, like the Xbox one x is at lower resolutions than 4K. Even though the iPad Pro’s GPU falls in between a Xbox one S and Xbox one X.

This is coming from a guy who owns a monster 4K gaming PC, that I have not been playing much lately.

As someone who never games on iOS devices, looks like I have a few games to try out.

I was in the top 50 for pubg but the touchscreen lockups were so frustrating I haven't played in months. I'm on my 3rd iPad and they have all had the touchscreen lockup issue and make pubg unplayable at high levels. One lockup at a critical time makes people think you are a bad player and never play with you again.

Not to hijack this thread, but I would really like to get into Civ VI, but every time I start playing, I get around 30 turns in and nothing has happened and I have no clue what to do (the options can be a bit overwhelming). Do you have any advice on how to get more into it and stick it out? I’d love to get into that “one more turn...” mentality!

On topic, my favorite games are Brawl Star and (don’t crucify me) Fortnite. Might have to pick up PubG based on the popularity it has around here!

I, too, would like some tips.

The Room series is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes puzzle solving games. There are 4 games total starting at $1 and going up to $5. Well worth it imo.
