Ok, I have a dual 2.3 Ghz PowerPC G5 PowerMac, 2.5 Gigs DDR SDRAM, OSX 10.4.11 and i have a brand new problem that i haven't totally pinpointed yet. while using Safari, it seems that flash is somehow screwing up my computer. i first noticed it while trying to load www.espn.com, which normally loads fine with no problems. this time it froze my safari browser. no problem, i forced quit and restarted. then it did it again. i tried with firefox to no avail, it also froze. then i tried opening nbc, which has a flash video player and it did the same thing. then i restarted and things seemed to work for both safari and firefox. while i was watching an episode of heros on safari using the flash player while also watching a replay on espn's flash player (something that i do regularly, this is definitely not out of the ordinary) it froze safari. when i tried to launch firefox, it failed to launch, then because i was frustrated, i tried to launch all the apps on my dock, just for kicks, and they all bounced around for a while before settling back down, however none launched...what the hell is going on with flash? i had to reboot and i'm fairly sure that it will happen again. interestingly, it didnt affect the only other program running, which was itunes but the rest was rendered useless...ideas?

Mine did the same thing today. I read and found to move from Flash player 9-115 to 9-047.

First run the uninstaller here and be patient, it takes some time: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=2

Then grab the Flash player 9 archive here:http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14266&sliceId=1

Download the Flash Player 9 (74.7 MB). When loaded, look for folder 9r47, then run the mac installer.

Finally restart machine and it should work.I have had no other issues.

seems to have done it, i'll post back if there are problems but i'm really impressed with this quick fix, kind of amazing really...6 minutes from the time i posted to the time i had a solution...great
