So I just updated my MBA to the new version of Yosemite, and my app icons are gone in LaunchPad. The apps are still there, but NO icons. Some of them do, but hardly any! Here's a pic:

What do I have to do

Thanks :D

That alert just means you need to kill iTunes for something to finish installing. Certain apps need other apps closed to finish the install. For example, to install flash you have to kill safari for it to finish. A similar alert appears.

I would just let everything finish installing. I bet it will go back to normal once it is all done.

Ok, well now that warning is gone. But my icons are STILL missing. What should I do!?

hmm that is strange. Type this "killall Dock" in terminal. See if that works?

bwahahahahaha. Just tried it!!!!. My warning is gone now, it has been. Should I just reinstall Yosemite. I have no viruses. Anymore advice?

can't hurt. Sounds like no one else really knows since I am the only one chiming in. Try adding a new user and see if the problem goes away.
