I just started my third year of college majoring in chemistry with a minor in biochemistry and cell biology. I'm also pre-dental.
This all goes in a High Sierra Access backpack
Tech stuff:
2012 13" Macbook Air 2.0GHz/8GB RAM/512GB SSD
This has been my only computer throughout college so far. As I've moved farther and farther into upper level classes (I'll be done with all of my major and minor requirements after this year but won't have quite enough credits to graduate early, and I'll gladly take my final year of undergrad before entering real life

) I've found that most of my professors provide extremely detailed and well put together power points and keynotes.. and I've found it's easier to just print them as PDFs and annotate them in preview rather than try to scribble down everything my professors say in a notebook. I'm also living off campus this year so I decided to get all of my textbooks as ebooks so I could have all of them with me all the time. So far I'm liking how it's working out. I don't miss big heavy textbooks at all.
In short, this is my daily workhorse.
TI-89 Titanium
Go-to calculator. Favorite one I've ever used.
iClicker
I thought these days were over but alas, my cell bio class uses clickers.
iPhone 5 32GB white
My phone, my GPS, my iPod, my camera, my calendar, my access to the internet when I'm not using my MBA... basically an important piece of my life all in one package, even if that sounds a little shallow.
Audio-Technica ATH M-50's in White w/ Fiio E6 Headphone Amp
My favorite headphones. Great balance and good passive noise canceling. The E6 allows me to play with the EQ easily if I so choose, but I usually set it to its flattest setting.
Non-tech stuff:
Books
The books I carry around are very minimal: a somewhat hefty lab manual for my advanced inorganic chem lab, a composition notebook I use as my lab notebook where I record all my experiments etc., and a half inch 3 ring binder that holds some looseleaf and some graph paper in case I ever need to write a note to someone or if I start some written homework while on campus.
Pens/Pencils
I'm a big fan of Papermate Clearpoint pencils (the 0.5mm variety) and Pilot Accroball fine-tipped pens. I also carry a Sharpie around mostly for use in lab to label glassware during and after experiments.
Miscellaneous/Personal
Wallet, apartment/school/car keys, 32 oz. wide-mouth Nalgene water bottle, coffee thermos, spare pair of contacts, a pair of glasses, a pair of sunglasses, lab coat on days I need it, and an inhaler. My asthma is usually exercised-induced but you never know.
