Randy's House
So the Trapper Dude™ came yesterday to try and evict whatever is using our attic as a speak-easy at night, and around 8:00 last night a loud *thud* could be heard as something sprung the trap.

We were priveleged enough to listen to whatever is in the trap rattle it's brains out last night to try and get out. (Honestly I am a whimp and I feel sorry for the poor thing, whatever it is...)

So we have made our guesses as to what it is, now it is your turn...

I voted raccoon.

I don't even know what half those animals are . Some kind of new fangled crazy American animals no doubt - the wildlife we get over here tends to be a lot less varied.

Well as soon as my jeans are done in the dryer, I am going to walk to the next unit and see if i can see what is up there.

Otherwise, I'll know when Trapper Dude™ comes later.

A large rat (close to cat size).

Well I went to the next building, and unfortunately the trap is covered. :(

We'll have to wait for Trapper Dude™

It's really a toss-up for me between squirrel and rat. Please relieve my suspense soon.

Those things try and get out of the cold every damned winter.

Tell me about it. they can get quite irritable as well....

Let us know once you find out iGary - you've made my Friday a very exciting day so far! :D

I hope the Trapper Dude™ gets here soon - I really feel bad for the thing that is inside that trap. :(

Of course I feel bad when I prune my plants, too. I'm weird like that.

I voted Rat...more specifically a Rattus rattus, or "roof rat", because it was trapped at night.
I've been wrong before.

Take some solace in that the trap is covered rather than "open", so the animal has a chance to "hide" while it awaits its doom (to be moved from its favorite nighttime hangout). Hurry though, before a sleestak finds an easy meal (when it finds its way out of the Land of the Lost - I dug that show)

Did you ever consider it was a Pocket Ninja?

There have been alot of recorded sightings recently especially in the Md, DC, Va area. Some say they are on covert operations for the U.S. military. Some believe they are independent and are carrying out their own malicious endeavors. If it is a Pocket Ninja stay at least 10 feet away for they can spit a considerable distance and are quite nasty.

One large female raccoon. So I and whoever voted raccoon, win.

The little girl is going to be released tonight on the Eastern Shore.

The Trapper Guy hasn't come by yet??! Man, this suspense is killing me.

Edit: If I'd only held my tongue a few seconds longer. At least now we can all rest in peace over this issue.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family iGary.

I'd love to - raccoons are really cute, but in all honesty I'm glad I can sleep in my own bed tonight without earplugs! :D
