I'm a dog lover, but it's also saved me a couple times when I've been confronted with less than friendly dogs. :)

Nice, that's what you call being prepared :)

All I have besides my Macbook is an iPhone, a couple of pens, a microfiber cloth and a grid-it with my charging cords, headphone amp and earbuds.

Since I retired, my bag (Brenthaven backpack) has gotten significantly lighter. I now just use it to protect my MBP when traveling. There are a few things I still carry that were holdovers from my work traveling days.

MBP
charger
iPod/iPad charger and cables
Logitech lapdesk
ethernet cable
Bear extender
led flashlight
usb drives
checkbook
micro sd adapter
pens, highlighter, sharpie

The prongs come off, you mean the ones that you can "tuck away"? If you are talking about those, how do you do it?

I love you guys.. kinda curious of how accessible is the firearms god forbid you actually have to use them? never really thought of doing that cause I carry on my person with one in the chamber

Just reading this thread is making my shoulder hurt...

My bag (just a generic one from staples...)

13" MBA - in a Crumpler sleeve
Nexus 7
Galaxy Nexus
Gloves - because I live in frigid Boston
pens/gum/etc.
headphones
usb thumbdrive
wallet
keys

And that's it...I have to carry this to and from work so I try to keep it light. The MBA has been helping with this.

Also not having to carry a charger (because I have one for home and work) is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who commutes with their laptop.

It's on my person also. I only keep the mags in the bag but I also have an extra in my pocket. The only time it isn't on me is when I am at school or anywhere prohibited by law, then it is locked in my carsafe.

I have some Swissgear back pack thing (I've had it for a while and don't know which one it is.)

  • 13" MBP
  • 65W charger for the MBP
  • Kensington cable lock
  • TI84 Graphing Calculator
  • Advil
  • USB to 10/100 Ethernet Adaptor
  • 3 Prong to 2 Prong adaptor
  • Folder with work stuff in it
  • 3 year calendar for work stuff
  • 3 subject notebook
  • iPad 3 32GB WIFI
  • 6 Outlet power strip
  • Long cord for 65W charger
  • Sony noise canceling headphones
  • Whiteout tape
  • USB audio adaptor for recording (I record our services at the church I attend)
  • Mini display port to VGA adaptor
  • USB power adaptor
  • USB to Lighting cable
  • Miscellaneous pens and pencils

I thinks that's it...

I carry on my person also. I sometimes carry one in the backpack. My backup firearm/ extra mags. I use this backpack it is great. It's a case logic, the part that goes against your back has padding and a special zipper. It's ok most impossible for anyone to get into when your wearing it. You would have to be a really good pickpocket! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361497746.596491.jpg
