It's an AMD Radeon HD 4870 1 GB with 2x DVI. It came with a Mac Pro I bought (refurbished by the reseller) so I guess you could consider the card "refurbished" as well. (it isn't new as far as I know)

I see many different prices out there ranging from £65 to €200+ 😕

Is it the PC version you mention in another thread? If so then it's not worth much I'm afraid, there are some on ebay £20-£40 used.

Yeah it is, or at least I think it is because it has 2 x DVI, whereas the Mac version has Mini DisplayPort if I'm not mistaken.

That's what I thought, although I've seen weirdly high prices so that sort of confused me.

Oh and, it's flashed with the Mac Bios I believe. I'm not sure if that makes it worth any more, probably not…

Probably your 4870 Ati Radeon card is around €50 to €60. In the US eBay, a flashed 4870hd overclocked to 1g is around $100 to $115. You mentioned your flashed 4870 card is 1g in vram. By default, 4870s only come at 512mb vram as far as I know.

Good to know, I wasn't aware of that! I actually dropped down the price to 50€ yesterday, so I was pretty close I guess 🙂 If anyone's interested… 😀

The 4870 Radeon has almost the same performance as the 5770hd though the 5770 only needs 6 pin power cable. Another advantage of some Radeon cards is that they can run on older Mac Pros like the 2006-2007 Mac Pros
