I dont mean to ask another question in this thread, but since I dont know how to start a new thread, lemme ask u folks how much I should charge for (2) 512 sticks i got w/my macbook if I sell it on ebay? I want to recoup some money when I upgrade to 2GB. Please advise.

In my opinion, it'll be much less of a headache trying to reason with your father than to try and sell the machine. You're 17, nearly a legal adult. There has to be some way to get him to level with you. If I was in your situation, I sure as hell wouldn't let my parents do anything like that. It's sounds very very unreasonable to me, but then again, everyone has different parents. Good luck whatever you decide to do. :)

id say around $50, and to start a new thread you pick the category you want it in and thatnselect start new threat, at the top of the screen.
JBook: Im really sorry man, that must suck, alot, and only for a C. Im sure you can get at least almost all of your money back for it if tyou find the right person, good luck.

I would ask Apple to take it back since it is unopened, even if they charge you a restocking fee, it's better than losing even more as time goes on.

If you are having that much trouble with one particular class, I'd say it's time
to meet with the school councelor and see about changing teachers or getting
some help with a tutor.

Just eat some humble pie and tell them you need to bring your grades up
and no matter how hard you try, it's not working.

eBay makes it very easy to get back your listing fees if you have a dead-beat buyer. I've had this happen several times to me, and never any problems. Also, it's important to note that your listing fees are charged to a seller account, so it's not as though you're actually out that money while eBay settles or addresses your claim.. once eBay verifies your Unpaid Item Dispute, they simply credit your account.. so no money has actually exchanged hands.

In the last few months, I've sold two computers on eBay (two MBs), one for $1500 and the other for nearly $1900..both times had terrific and responsive buyers who paid promptly. Have also sold several $200-ish items, and again, no problems..

Oh, and just a tip: it helps to require that any bidders have a PayPal account linked to their eBay account.

Well, I'm sorry to say that I've never got my noney back. The hassle involved i setting up cases and contacting eBay is far too much. Throw in the sheer expense of both eBay and Paypal combined and I've vowed never to sell anything worth over £100 again!
