Yes, if I think it is the volume button.
Well, if it might be an issue, the feature can be disabled. (That said, it's generally fairly straightforward and quick to tell if a button is a volume button or the lock button.)

Has the little round contact pic been removed from the top of the Messages app?
On smaller devices it has been. Beyond that the contact photos option from settings for Messages applies to it now.

Yea, I probably will disable it right away. It is great for the people that need that piece of mind though.

If the phone is in my pocket, under my desk, or if I am using it in the dark sometimes I press the wrong button. There are other situations that this happens. Maybe not 5 times in a row, but no reason to risk it if I can turn it off.

Yeah, pressing the wrong button here or there in some circumstances wouldn't be unusual. Pressing it 5 times, just on its own or mistaking it for another button, probably much much less so.

VOLUME WARNING ON EMERGENCY SOS!!

I activated it in the middle of my government class... and immediately had 45 pairs of eyes directly on me due to the screeching siren call of death. The Apple Watch had the same sound but for some reason I wasn't expecting it to come from my phone, let alone the seemingly 500 decibel sound coming from it.
