i’m seeing the same, but toggling on doesn’t turn on my vpn.

You need to first go to Settings/General/VPN & Device Management, and connect the VPN there. If “Connect On Demand” is enabled, you won’t be able to toggle the VPN off from the main settings screen.

Finally a setting to turn off the annoying Lock Screen Swipe to Open Camera.Man I hated you couldn't turn that off. I opened the camera a couple of times a day swiping away notifications. I don't LG with the reduced opacity setting we have now and dark icons turned on.

damn they got rid of the “glow” that appeared when you touch liquid glass. it was completely unnecessary but i loved it & i’m sad to so it go.

I dont like the haptic in phone app. Someone said if its toggled on then your phone vibrates when making a call and hanging up. I dont want my phone to vibrate so I'll toggle it off. It sounds like a stupid addition to the phone app

I think you might be misunderstanding the feature. The phone only vibrates when you’re calling someone and the other person either picks up or drops the call. With this feature enabled, you don’t need to hold the phone to your ear or switch to speakerphone while waiting for the other side to answer—perfect for when you’re walking or in public. You can just hold your phone normally, and once it vibrates, you’ll know the call has been answered or ended.





It’s a really useful feature. I’ve actually been requesting it through the feedback app for years now, ever since I first had it on my HTC One back in 2013.

Happy with the changes in the new beta. Giving more controls/options to users is great. Won't be installing the beta but looking forward to using the final version.

Isn't there already a Reduce Transparency button somewhere, or did that go away?

Check Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Reduce Transparency
This not only changes the buttons but also backgrounds

This was not covered in the story: Can you confirm that, with iOS 26.1, Chinese/Mandarin is now included in the Live Translation app for the AirPods Pro 3?

This is really the ONLY feature in iOS 26 that I even care about (until/maybe they improve Siri).

Where is the "Liquid Glass ON/OFF" toggle? That's what is needed.

Yeah. Apple inch worming towards transparency off is a waste of energy. Just give people an on/off toggle instead of wasting thousands of hours of developer resources on dilly dallying on different ways of keeping but yet reducing liquid glass.🤦‍♂️

I want all the features of os26 but with the visuals of os18

This is really the ONLY feature in iOS 26 that I even care about (until/maybe they improve Siri).

Yeah, same thing for me. Every time I try to re-crop any user’s picture in my contacts it zooms out and doesn’t save. It’s a minor annoyance, but it’s definitely a bug I’d like to see fixed.

The option to turn off camera swipe is welcomed, since I use camera control now to launch the camera.

Now remove the widgets page, there’s no need for that either.

NAH its a dumb option. I put it on speaker because I want it to be. ITS MY PHONE. I can do what I want. Apple doesnt get a say in that. Theyre just trying to control your every move, like listening in on things. YEA NO THANKS. DUMBEST OPTION EVER
