Not in the next 2-3 years.I would have bought a newer MBP instead of my 2019 MBP if it wasn't for that notch. Hopefully Apple gets rid of it.

Actually of course they don't. They will be told when there are marketing assets available (like a month or two before the announcement), not while in the development stages. The social media department is probably the last one in a company to receive news.something tells me the social media department at Samsung doesnt know much about the future products..
Apple has also likely factored in the different use cases for iPads, with users switching the screen orientation of a tablet more often than they do with a smartphone.
Samsung’s latest phone prototype:Samsung really is the most unintentionally hilarious company in the world. If the next iPhone featured razors that popped out and cut you, guaranteed Samsung’s would do the same one year later.
That's more of Apple's approach. Samsung just switches gears... they have no qualms about flip-flopping.I am sure that Samsung will say "That feature is not a notch - it's a Visual Tools Support Region. Not a "notch" at all!
On a side notch..... I think it depends on orientationThat’s some top notch design work!!
I had a WTF moment when I read this, thinking it was a 'soft' notch that would always switch location to stay at the top... I guess it means the notch will always be in the same position relative to the physical screen.whereas on a tablet the notch will switch location depending on the held orientation.
Absolutely correct IMO. I don't care about it either, but obviously it won't be there in 5 years time so it will be seen as a curious design abnormality that the next generation will wonder why was tolerated in the first place. Can’t wait until this crappy weird phase of notches and hole punches ends.
“It doesn’t bother me I barely notice it’s there” - sure, it’s still going to be looked back on and laughed at as one of those weird periods in tech.
Really? Samsung's comment about notches was in relation to phones, not tablets.Samsung is the definition of hypocrite
