Thanks, that's very nice of you! I know so many people who just don't know (still) how to engage respectfully in a conversation. When I'm with those people, I notice them looking away from me as I'm trying to talk to them, which means to me that they don't care—or they do care but don't know how to actually engage—to me that means stopping whatever you're doing and listening to the person, even if you might not agree, or if you truly don't care about the subject. I know so many people who are like that, and it bothers me immensely. That's part of the reason why I don't talk much, and when I do, it's mostly to adults—because to me, they understand how to engage in a conversation, and they rarely are distracted by anything else. Sometimes it's only once or twice that I physically speak during the course of a day. I find comfort in talking to adults for this very reason. Although when you can get me to talk, THAT’S when I get very talkative. Anyway... certainly something I've had to learn how to do, too.
