There was a scene in "The Last Emperor" (I think) where the little king is sitting on a potty having fun. Someone takes the bowl from under the potty, rolls it around and smells it. Then he hells out "More meat!". I almost fell out of my chair. 🙂

If I eat or drink something red or dark and my “exhaust” resembles the “input” it can be startling but It’s not really a surprise. It that blueberries (that are purplish on the outside and white on the inside) result in army green “output” that I find surprising

On my mind, the silly debate of “football vs soccer” that once in a while spawns online. Looks like most people have an opinion and never bothered reading the history of the term football (which has nothing to do with kicking a ball) and soccer (which is not an American term).

Dinner is definitely one of the most important of the daily activities. I am not big on lunch (and I rarely have big lunches), but dinner is dinner.

Dinner shall take the form of gratin root vegetables (parboiled in stock first, then removed to a dish where minced garlic, (nine fat, luscious cloves) organic double cream, and some ladles of stock joined them on their journey in the oven; braised leeks with garlic, and aged fillet steak - cooked rare.

A glass (or two) of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo to accompany.

I realized forgetting to wash the bio quinoa can be "crunchy" which was the only negative of a delicious kind of vegetable stew I made with pumpkin, peppers, lots of garlic, and carrots which I also had with a grilled duck breast.

The absurd amount of food that gets thrown away in the dining hall. How about people just get small servings of everything in case they don't like it or they get full. They can always go back for more if necessary... no need to get a huge amount of food on your plate just to throw half of it away.

Also, completely unrelated, but I'm thinking of snagging two QSC K10.2 speakers for when I come home. I sold both my old amps, so I need something to use when performing. They're just unbelievably expensive (especially for two), but I'll have to make do—can't be using cheap gear these days.

Not much of an electric, blanket fan myself. Although I do love burying myself under a ton of mismatch blankets, and a cold winter night. Takes a while to warm up but then it’s just so comfy.
