I don’t understand what’s taking up 2.8gigs on my Apple Watch I don’t have I only have 1 app makes no sense and I can’t figure it out can someone help me with this?
Where can I go to see how much gig the operating system is taking? Every few days my storage keeps dropping so it makes sense that it would be the operating system that usually happens with an update.I don’t understand what’s taking up 2.8gigs on my Apple Watch I don’t have I only have 1 app makes no sense and I can’t figure it out can someone help me with this?
It hasn’t done an automatic downloadIt could be a software update that has downloaded itself. If you want to free up the space either install or delete:
iPhone Watch App -> General -> Usage -> Software Update -> Delete
Looks like there's no setting to prevent auto downloads on watchOS, unlike iOS.
There has been no automatic downloads down also how can 1 photo take up 9.5 MB I have tried unpairing and paring in the past but the same thing keeps happeningIt could be a software update that has downloaded itself. If you want to free up the space either install or delete:

It’s just so weird, but all the numbers on my watch don’t match at all, I have no music or photos on my watch that 1 photo showing is a ghost photo, all I have is 1 app that’s it, I’m just worried that if I keep losing storage for no reason that I will in no time have anymore gig left.I’ve come to not trust the actual numbers you see. Similar to what you’re confused about, my music wasn’t syncing to my watch because the watch didn’t have any storage space left. Looking in About said otherwise, over 20gb available. Went back to Music and added a playlist, don’t know why, just tried it, and suddenly all my playlists could now sync. I love my Apple Watch but there are some weird bugs that I have little control over and I just have to hope they don’t interfere with my day to day use of my watch. The music syncing issue has been such a drag, that I rarely use my watch as an iPod anymore.
Did it drop to 4.7 gig used without you downloading anything new to the watch? If this is a new setup it will eventually level off at a certain point. When I first set mine up it slowly grew to 4.7GB used and it has stayed around that amount since.
No I had installed several apps right away. It will be less if you don't have any apps installed. Just give it a few days, it's not going to consume all available storage.Did it drop to 4.7 gig used without you downloading anything new to the watch?
I only installed 1 app that’s it no music or photos so I don’t get it and I just checked now and it went from 2.8 used to 2.9 I understand it needs time to adjust but I pretty much have noting in my watch for it to keep consuming. No I had installed several apps right away. The OS itself generates all sorts of logs and cache etc. The Watch app doesn’t show this used data in a meaningful way. My watch says there are 14 photos listed in general/about yet the photos app says none are on the device..I just checked on another anomaly I noticed earlier. About says I have 7 photos on my watch, but my watch shows no photos. It’s odd for sure.
