When I saw this I assumed they had just forgotten to update a date in FAQ, but it really does look like they are dropping it. Disappointing and surprising to me.
They're even actively pro-rating the license cost down based upon that date.

I'm concerned about the future of MacUpdater. End of support for the current version is 1-1-2026 and they don't seem to be committed to a new version.
Most of your apps. Latest often picks up apps that are missed. I run it after updating my apps in MacUpdater to find any it missed. So tell MacUpdater to ignore that app.
Certainly not bloatware. It is the only place you can discover the updates available for ALL your apps.

Just switched to latest based on suggestion in the thread, and looks good so far.I find the same. Latest will be satisfactory replacement for me.
Man, that really sucks.Macupdater has been offered up for sale.
This is my daily update hit. Totally understand why the developer is doing this.
I really hope a considerate and long-term company takes this one on.
Well it is free compared with MacUpdateDesktop or MacUpdater. I will have to give it a shot sometime.Man, that really sucks.
There's another app that offers similar functionality, but I don't like it as well as MacUpdater:
I agree with nearly every app that I know of that phones up and checks for updates, I don't see the draw or the need. I understand later in this thread the developer has largely abandoned the appTo me it seems like bloatware. It usually doesn't take long for apps on my Mac to update so it can just be done when I open them and a new update is available.
