white or silver has proven in iPhone 11 that it's fingerprint resistant, smudge resistant and chipped resistant (or the least prone to paint chipping among iPhones)

From the video reviews the stainless steel is a FP magnet.

yeah and it just makes the fone heavy, Apple should ditch it next year, serves no purpose when you're using a case in which they promote btw

also the grams saved off without that steel can be utilized with extra battery capacity.

Thank you. Since I’m only talking about the iPhone 12/12 Mini, the bands are not really a concern.

The advantage that black has is that stealth look: it doesn’t distract from the screen. White, on the other hand, would probably be a lot better for fingerprints. I also think that the white with the glass looks classier than the black. Tough call.

I wonder whether the white iPhone 12 has unpainted aluminum sides? It looks like it but I’m not 100% sure.

get the white, knew someone who bought the black, the smudges/fingerprint is distracting. unless you buy a non-transparent case, any color will do.

but even with a transparent case, the black is smudge prone.
