I just picked up a 15" 1.67Ghz HiRes for $250 on Craigslist. It's in great condition cosmetically and the battery life is amazing. Just keep looking and you'll find a good deal.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? People are delusional on the CL around here!

You think that's high or low?

PPC machines just arent worth that much. I picked up a 12" 1.5 Ghz $30 a few weeks ago

If you were able to get a good condition, working 12" 1.5 Ghz for $30, then that's an extreme rarity, not the rule.

Ive seen more then 1 15" PB in the $100-$150 range

Maybe its just the college kids in this town with rich parents. the guy that sold me his 12" had the os crash on him and his parents bought him a new mbp

Yeah, you definitely got lucky. Even Mac2Sell, which gives lowball estimates of value, pegs that laptop at $130 (assuming it still works). In fact, if it does still work and is in good cosmetic condition, you could probably sell it on eBay for more than $200.

I bought it because I have to have a 15" MBP with high-res for work and missed my 13mbp and didnt want an air. I really, really love the 12" format and dont want to sell it. It'll go on ebay when it breaks and cant be fixed for ~$50.

That's awesome! I guess everyone gets a great deal now and then. My best was a top of the line 2.2gHz black MB for $700 when it was still being sold. I think you still win though!
