I read some recommendations of navigation apps, but most of navigation apps are not free. I prefer an app that can navigate with voice and search places nearby. But, it can be any great free navigation app. Any suggestions?

Definitely Waze. It offers free turn by turn navigation and also has the added benefit of the social aspect; users who also use the app can point out things like car accidents or speed traps and Waze will alert you if any problems occur en route.

I've used Waze and Mapquest, and I prefer Mapquest to Waze. Waze has a better layout, but It's hard to navigate for some reason. It may be I'm just not used to the app? What's so good about Waze? I wanna check it out!
