What’s the best protective case that’s not too bulky?

I’m usually an apple leather case kind of guy but I’m looking for a little more protection for the XS Max. What’s the case that offers the most protection without being too bulky?

The Caudabe Sheath was probably the slimmest case that still provides excellent protection and grip. Had it on my X and will probably order it for my Xs Max. I’m currently using a forest green Apple leather case.

Otter cases sometimes scratch, at least that's what the transparent one did to my mom's 7+. Done.

I tried the Otterbox from Apple, the reaction series, it made the phone super bulky.

I usually buy the RhinoShield for all the iPhones, I’ve dropped it literally countless times with my eyes closed and it’s protected me.

Almost bought a Spigen Liquid Crystal myself. Seems to be rather slim but still offers solid protection. Comes in clear and matte black I believe.

I wanted clear and no yellowing and slim, so I went with a Caudabe Lucid Clear. Decent drop protection from what I read, but little to no lip... so either be lucky/careful or get a screen protector.

I found this a little too bulky though.

Catalyst Impact case is about as thick as an Otterbox Symmetry case.

I've tried several Otterbox and found Symmetry Clear Series to be minimally bulky while still providing good protection.
