AT&T messed up my order and now they won't let me cancel it. Anyone?

AT&T messed up my order and now they won't let me cancel it. Anyone?

They say it is because it is already in progress.

That doesn't help with the upgrade reversal. Plus, the charge is still pending. Won't "go through" until it ships. Can I refuse it before it hits?

Sounds like you might want to call executive customer service there is no reason at all why they can't stop your order from shipping if your credit card company want do so
 
Good luck with that. Last year AT&T flat out refused to cancel any preorders at all for almost 2-3 weeks of customer complaints. That's why I ordered from Apple.

Apple do the same thing. Once it reaches a specific point in the order process, they can't cancel as your phone is already been "shipped".

I ordered from Apple shortly after it went live. My phone was already "shipped" the next day, so I couldn't cancel. It was already packed up and on it's way.

The best way is to accept it and send it back. See if you can take it back to a store.
 
It's just weird to me that they won't cancel it considering it won't ship til oct 5th.
