hey kid, why don't you try them all yourself and decide which one is best for you?

Like it was said up top, CM10 is the best if you can get it to work properly.

Every other browser is pretty much trash (chrome, dolphin, Firefox, sense, touchwiz) except Xscope.

... and maybe Opera (just for sheer speed alone)

I find Dolphin to be a bit flaky on some some web pages. But I like the feature set. I would stick with Chome exclusively if it didn't take two clicks to access bookmarks.

Two taps to access bookmarks is nonsense. I can't believe this doesn't drive others crazy.

I like dolphin the most. Chrome seems to be not only buggy and a battery hog but the UI is against the rest of the android OS. I should be able to swipe/gesture to bookmarks and saved articles instead of tapping on buttons like iOS.

I played with boat for a little bit. Is there not a way to request desktop sites? The only thing I could do was scroll to the bottom of a page and if it offered it, switch.

Two options:

- Settings > Page content settings > Set user agent > Desktop (or other browser of choice)

- Toolbar > Set UA > Desktop

I feel the same but found I hardly ever use bookmarks nowadays. So Chroma beta it is. Most of the time anything I would bookmark is in an open tab.

I used to leave my browser default unset so I could choose to use Chrome beta or Dolphin but that got to be a chore after awhile.

If Dolphin didn't get flaky at times I'd probably have it as my default. If the Evernote plugin actually worked all of the time it would sway me to use it as default. But that plugin fails quite often, negating its benefit.

Tried various options inc chrome dolphin and Firefox but have come back to the stock browser. Stock is simple if you want the added features of dolphin you probably would like it.

I've tried the stock browser, Opera, Chrome, Dolphin and Firefox. For a long time, I stuck with Chrome, but recent updates seem to have made it worse in terms of microstutter. So I switched to the latest version of FF with the following add-ons. I have customized the gestures to my liking and browsing is now really good. If chrome improves significantly, I might switch back since it seems to have the best rendering and text handling of the lot. For now, FF it is.

How do you guys rate the stock browser? Seeing as its the only one that works with smart scroll and swipe.. Might just use that

I wish the stock samsung browser could sync with my desktop browsers. It's a good browser but that kills it for me. It even has the tap to go to the top of page thing.

Stock browser is not bad at all, but compared to the tab management of Chrome, it was a bit less convenient to use. I usually have atleast 3-4 tabs open on the browsers and switch tabs frequently, so the slick swipe from the edge for this on Chrome was a big attraction.

FF with the Gestures add on is even better. I have customized gestures for previous/next tabs, scroll to the top/bottom, and refresh. Very convenient to use. And it has a Quit button. I demand a Quit button on my browser :p

want to use the stock browser to use the smart scroll features but thats womans force drives me mad saying page loaded all the time...could just put it on silent while browsing but i shouldn't have to.

Can't you simply disable Talkback in the Accessibility settings?
Are you using LightFlow by any chance? You may need to uninstall it, this is a known issue with LightFlow...I had a similar experience on my GS3 with an earlier version. LightFlow is simply too buggy for my taste. Also remember to reboot after uninstallation.

talkback is off btw.

reason why I ask is it says on lightflow options to wake the phone up when you get a notification..guessing it still does it without light flow?

On my stock GS3, without light flow, if I get a notification, the LED light will start blinking (default blue color) but the phone will not wake up.

Not sure if it's the same on the GS4.

Well I've downloaded notification widget so hopefully it lights the phone up even without light flow..dunno.might just give it a try and can always install it again.
