What's the best Youtube Downloader out there? The one where I can save Youtube videos on my Mac?
Dunno if it's the best, but 'Fastest Free YouTube Downloader' is what I use.
Works really well the last time I used it.
You can download YouTube videos using the Activity window of Safari. No additional software required.
What do you use to download youtube?
Works pretty awesome, too.
You can then use Evom to convert from flash to mp3/4/whatever you need.
I've been happy with the reliability/simplicity of keepvid (keepvid.com) in conjunction with VLC
dude, safari sucks
OP just use MPEG Streamclip. The latest version has been crashing on some youtube videos for me but it usually picks it up on the next go around. Allows you to select stream type as well.
That's one opinion. I've used it for 3 years and it works perfectly fine.
If you use the latest beta, it seems to work.
Here is a video on how to do this, as I didn't know that before. Thanks Eddyisgreat. Now all they have to do is implement this into their Batch List option, that would be great (or would have been two years ago, when I had do download dozens of YT videos and had to transcode them for proper editing for work).
I like grappler.
Is that a definite statement?
My fave one is ClipGrab; works on variety of sites (incl. youtube), is able to download video in HD (when available) and is even able to convert the video automatically.
I'd go with www.youddl.com.
Safari's activity option. I don't like to download programs if I have I already have tools pre-installed. Works great IMO.
I use ClickToFlash in Safari, so whenever I want to download a video off YouTube, I just right click and choose "Download Video" and Safari starts downloading a nice .mp4 H.264 file. Simple as that.
PS: The weird language in the top sections of my right click menu is Danish.
Mactubes is the best for me
