That second case (Poetic SlimBook 2 Leather iPad 2) looks very much like the Yoobao Executive Leather Case for iPad 2 (I just received mine today). It seems the Poetic's cutouts for the mic and headphones are a tad smaller though.

I don't think I would want something with an Apple logo that isn't made by Apple. Sounds like a recipe for a company who won't be around very long.

Have you looked at the chinao cases there is a thread on here I have the case and love it as do others members. I got the wheat colored cowhide case but there are other flavors and very thin

I know what you are talking, but I think the apple ipad 2 smart cover is out of date right now, there are many great ipad 2 smart cover + back cover outside, very good cover.

Like I said, you misunderstand the point of this thread. We're looking for an iPad 2 case which is exactly like the original black microsuede iPad 1 case. This has nothing to do with the iPad 2 smart cover.
