I've always wondered how much you 'download' when you watch an episode/movie/youtube/whatever in your browser compared to actually dl-ing the entire file.. Is it exactly the same or less?

I've always figured it's less without any real logic.. I just figure as it's not saving anywhere that it's not being downloaded.. unless it just sits in your cache..
cheers

If YouTube or whatever streaming services plays a 124MB file for your viewing experience, you actually download 124MB + some overhead maybe.
