I intuitively went to click on (what I thought was) Mac Basics and Help and I was brought to an iPhone thread! Now I see that the iPhone has its own category outside of Apple Hardware... why?

Is this only temporary? The iPhone IS Apple Hardware, after all.

sorry, I think you are referring to the front page forum categories. I'll fix those so iphone topics are consolidated under iPhone

ah I see now. you mean on the list of things.

We can consider reorganizing. If you really don't want to see them you can click on the
collapse_tcat.gif
to minimize that section

Thanks a lot for the tip, arn. I'm not nearly as excited as the others seem to be about the iPhone, so I will definitely take advantage of that button.
 
And there was me thinking it was just a further evidence where Apple's focus is these days...
