What's the first thing you're going to do with your iPhone?

    I mean, after activating it...

I'm going to go to the Verizon and Sprint kiosks at the mall and ask if they want to see it. Not to brag (okay, well a little), but to see what they've got and so they know what they're up against... plus they're usually pretty cool guys (but then I used to be one of them), so I know I'd appreciate seeing an iPhone as a wireless industry person. :)

After that I'd probably go sit in a shady spot in a park and just play with Safari and stuff. :D

('Course, it'll be a few weeks until I get another paycheck or two to get my iPhones...)

    Charge the battery.
If it comes fully charged, I will then sync it.
After that, the world is my oyster. :)

LOL. Somebody needs to make a "chick magnet" widget that makes it seem like you're receiving a phone call every 2-3 minutes. :D

South Mississippi y'all, near the water!
I just got off the phone with AT&T to discuss my current plan and needed changes for the iPhone to be on our family plan. She was very friendly, very helpful, and there was no wait time to get to a rep. She was honest enough to say they were all new to the iPhone, and put me on hold to talk to someone else about my questions. She was back in 30 seconds or less. She indicated I can make changes and activate the phone while at the store, and the iTunes activation was secondary (whatever that means). I was impressed with her honesty and outgoing personality.

So, the first thing I'm going to do is make sure I have the best plan for my needs before I even walk out of the store.

I'm then going to go to a restaurant that has wifi, and is next to the AT&T store and complete my setup. It will be for all to google over!

But, I think she was mis-informed, which is understandable with a company of this size... From the PDF (and printed for them) sales guide handed out by AT&T to their sales staff:

Imagine a wireless activation experience that’s completely different! That’s exactly what you get with iPhone. Customers who purchase iPhone will complete activation away from the store. The customer will need their PC or Mac, credit/debit card, access to the Internet, and an Email address in order to activate iPhone. This simple process will save both you and the customer time.

iPhone will not be activated in the store. It will be activated by the customer outside the store.
Customers who purchase iPhone will leave the store with a sealed box. The box is not to be opened in-store.

1: Take unboxing pictures that I probably will never get around to uploading to anywhere
    2: Turn on iPhone
3: Access my home's Wi-Fi and get on Safari
    4: Download porn
    5: Repeat as necessary
