just watched the passion of Christ. Now there's a movie that makes you think about life.

Last film I saw was Michael Haneke's English-language shot-for-shot remake of his own movie "Funny Games," which is a Warner Independent picture. If it's in your area you should definitely see it. Quite a wild ride, I'm sure most people won't get the point but it is amazing. I'm just hoping it manages to cause some controversy so I can laugh at people. :)

I heard that movie wasn't worth seeing. What's your opinion?

Well it was really really repetitive and after the first flash back you knew who it was.

Poor visual effects as well, the helicopter at the end was just awful

Most of the acting was very poor as well no real story line

Basically not worth seeing in the slightest, another terrorist film and another failed one

The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey.

A really great movie, and as always Carrey does a fantastic Job.

The plot really reminds me of Philip K. Dicks short novel, "Martian Time Shift"..

well i'm at work, just watched Blow on my ipod, am watching King Arthur right now, then i'll watch Superbad again that is funny.
got Jumper & i am legend to drop on the ipod for tonights busy shift :D
might drop Juno on again, it kinda grows on you.

Dang, what sort of work do you do that you get to sit watching movies during the busy shift? No wait, let me guess. Post office counter clerk? DMV worker?

My guess is video store. I used to work at a video store (independent) and picking out the movies to put on the in the store was a big issue, because it's everyone's entertainment/background noise.

I saw Shutter at the theater this past Sunday. I rented and watched Southland Tales last night.

Shutter was decent but nothing special in terms of a horror movie. Cool and creepy but not scary.

Southland Tales was outstanding. It's very thought provoking but also very weird and somewhat disjointed. Great movie. I highly recommend it.

We borrowed some Hitchcock DVDs from my wife's parents and are watching some of those that we've never seen before. "The Trouble with Harry" was pretty good. "Saboteur" is OK, but it's very dated and the dialogue is pretty clumsy at times.

"August Rush"...decent movie but the plot was way too far-fetched for my liking. But the girlfriend wanted to see it, so what are you gonna do

I purchased (have not yet watched) No Country...I'm going to watch that sometime this week or over the coming weekend. I love the Coens movies and after hearing all the hype for this movie, I'm looking forward to it.
