What's the little circle on the 13 MBP?

Above the escape key there's a little circle drain thingy. I was wondering if that's the speaker or the microphone or the ambient light sensor?

i dont want to be mean, but you cant be serious! havent you got a users manual for your mac, or you dont know what google is, etc.? there are so many ways to get an answer on your question, but you had to post...

there's plenty of "dur" threads on here but we're here to help, that's what the forum is for

Exactly. The question itself isn't stupid, as we don't know the OP's situation. Maybe he doesn't have the manual? Or maybe he thought about googling or did it but found different answers and came here to know for sure? We're here to help people, I know there was no intention of being mean but these guys that just come and post things like "duur, its bla bla bla, how did you not know" sometimes bother me more than trolls :mad:

I tend to be mean on here but even I think this was a bit extreme lol.

The reason I asked about this is because I couldn't figure out exactly what to call it. That's why it was troublesome to google it. I did try to though prior to making the thread.

That was a fair question and there was nothing wrong with asking. People on this forum can be hella rude at times. There was no need for anyone to act rude about it.
