Whats the maximum size HDD that will work in my macbook?

    Hi all,

    just wondered whats the largest capacity harddrive that would work in my Macbook unibody.

    Only 9.5mm hard drives will fit in the MacBooks.

    To the best of my knowledge the largest 9.5mm hard drive is 640GB.

    I believe that is correct also.

    If you are wanting mass storage, take out the optical drive and put a hd in there. Search optibay and you will find all kinds of threads on it.

    hold on, he said unibody. dont the unibodies have a couple of mm more space in the hdd bay? big enough for the 12.5mm 1tb. or am i thinking of the 15 and 17 incher's
