Failure of media outlets to identify clearly the types of computer or OS involved when reporting news of hardware defects, software vulnerabilities and so forth. Those sappy headlines make me crazy: "New threat affects millions of computer users." Then I get even crazier if I have to read more than one paragraph to find out if the issue is relevant to my Apple gear and OS / iOS.

I used to think it was just Apple-hating or plain old ignorance. Finally I realized it's just about getting eyeballs on the page for ad revenue bumps. I still think it's lazy, lousy journalism.
