So I know its probably too early for this but it felt strange for me not upgrading this year as I have gotten a new iPhone every year since the 3g. My 13 pro is a amazing phone and my only real complaint is the weight. The only way I was going to upgrade this year was if the Pros lost weight or if the regular 14 got promotion. Neither happened so I had no reason to upgrade. So hopefully with the 15 we get some sort of redesign and here is what I think would work. First the Pros need to lose weight so GET RID OF THE STAINLESS STEEL. I don't care if you use a fancy new name for the same aluminum and call it pro aluminum or if you use titanium as long as the regular pro can get below 170gs. The next thing is getting the right screen sizes. To me, the X,Xs and 11pro had the perfect screen size. The iPhone mini failed for 3 reasons: 1) the screen was too small, it should not have been less than 5.7 2)battery life 3) it wasn't a pro. I don't think the 14 plus will sell that well because again, its not a pro. The best solution would be 3 screen sizes in the pro line. They also need to figure some better way to align the cameras because the giant square is just not working anymore, the cameras have gotten too big. I don't know if they should be in a line across the top of the phone but at least then the phone wouldn't rock if you set it down without out a case.
So however unlikely here is my perfect iphone 15 lineup.

Iphone 15 - 1 size 6.1 - add promotion
Iphone 15 pro - 5.7 or 5.8
Iphone 15 pro "whatever max or plus" 6.2 or 6.3
Iphone 15 ultra - 6.7 or 6.8

So what's your ideal iPhone 15 lineup?

I would prefer to have 3 phones, small, medium, max and all of them being identical except the battery and screen size.
Like it’s not ridiculous enough to have the actual new phone labeled and priced as “Pro”, we also need “Ultra” now?

The more variations they make, the harder it will be to have good inventory.
There would still be 4 models, same as the 14 series. It would just be more difficult to predict the split between the smaller and medium size pros. Clearly the pro max people only care about the ultra

Agreed, they really should just call them the pros and then put the screen size next to them.

There's not enough difference between 5.8 and 6.1 for Apple to justify making a completely different phone. 5.8 isn't coming back.

I'm a mini lover and would love a pro-featured mini iPhone. Not sure what I'll do when my 13 mini eventually dies, fortunately I've got a few years before I need to worry still. I'd love a lineup with a mini, regular, large pro phone and a regular sized standard iPhone. Still 4 phones, but those who don't care about pro features will be fine with the standard screen size, IMO.

I’m afraid pro motion won’t come to non pro iPhones ,ever .

I would like them to go to the opposite route and make a single iPhone 15 with everything they have got just like the good old days.
Yes less SKUs the better. Then you won't have every freaking store with 14 galore, but no Pros to be seen.

The iPhone 15 lineup should be like this:

iPhone (6.1in)
iPhone Plus (6.7in)

iPhone Pro mini (5.4in)
iPhone Pro (6.1in)
iPhone Pro Max (6.7in)

iPhone Ultra (7.7in)

The iPhone 15 lineup should be like this:

iPhone (6.1in)
iPhone Plus (6.7in)

iPhone Pro mini (5.4in)
iPhone Pro (6.1in)
iPhone Pro Max (6.7in)

iPhone Ultra (7.0in)
Standard Colors: 10
Pro Colors: 9
Ultra Colors: 8
(Non-Exclusive Colors)

Before Steve Jobs returned to Apple, the product line was bloated and confused. When he came back, he reduced everything to 4. 2 consumer, 2 professional. I hope they're careful enough to not make the line-up confusing again, for the sake of filling every niche position.

Moving forward, Jobs' strategy was to produce only four products: one desktop and one portable device aimed at both consumers and professionals. For professionals, Apple created the Power Macintosh G3 desktop and the PowerBook G3 portable computer. For consumers, there was the iMac desktop and iBook portable computer.

Apple needs to make more of an effort with the lower-end devices. Enough with the pro **** already

It may not on the 15 but it will eventually, they cant sell an $800 phone with a 60hz screen forever.
They should, and probably will eventually. I'm not sure it'll be on the 15.

It's more likely they do Dynamic Island first, since that's strictly a cutout + software. ProMotion will come when they also decide to do AoD, maybe on the 16s.

The 6.1” is too long for me. I like the width but it would be nice if it were 5.6”. The extra 0.5” really isn’t that useful for me
