Well, it's a long story, but I have my reasons ;) Doesn't change the fact that Japan really is like a third-world country in many respects (filthy, decrepit schools, hospitals, and public buildings, run-down shacks that people call houses, etc)

Just my opinion. ;) And quite frankly, the fact that I have found maybe one or two free wifi spots in central Tokyo (I've checked in/around Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Tokyo station) doesn't make me think too highly of this place either.

Wow. You really hate Japan, don't you? That's too bad. Sure, there are pockets of decay, but not unlike those you would encounter in any industrialized nation. Third World it isn't. Travel around the country and experience it some more -- I think you will be pleasantly surprised (especially if you avoid the usual gaijin haunts such as Shibuya and Roppongi).

As for free WiFi in Tokyo (which is without argument one of the cleanest big cities in the world), it's abundant if you know where to look. Start with the Yahoo Mobile BB website, which lists hundreds of free hotspots.

Good luck, and really try to give Japan a second chance. I think you'll be glad you did.

nah, all the people i know would procrastinate about punching me in the face... maybe i need to find a few new friends?

what's the point of having two guitars in one like your avatar? we only have two hands.

Touché, but even so, there's a good reason for a two-headed guitar (as it is still technically one guitar), such as having necks with different keys, tunings, string arrangements (12 string, 6 string) or even tones (bass).

Yup.
