What's The Strangest Thing You've Found?

I was tidying my room most of today, and amongst my long-lost copies of Starship Titanic and Resi 3 for PC, I found a drawer with some unusual items in it:
A map of Trondheim
Some leaflets from Trondheim
Weekly copies of Søndag Aftenpoften (I assume the second f is actually an f) from 2 June 2002 to 30 June 2002

This may not seem strange, but no-one in my immediate family has ever been to Norway :confused:

Anyone else found any odd items like these?
 
I once found a huge sh*t laying 2 feet from the toliet, it was at a bar which i left and never went back to.
 
Around '94 I was pulling all the coax out of a building so it could be rewired with rj45 when I found a box for a Performa and an apple printer in the ceiling.. Also found a phone book from 1986 and a full coke up there too.

Two years ago I was working a prehistoric site and we uncovered a burial in a flexed position at a quite shallow depth. But carbon dates came back putting the burial from the late Archaic period, which was much older than the other burials at the same site. That was pretty unusual.

Last summer I was excavating a 19th century privy in New York and found a piece of ~1lb round shot in it...that was unusual too.
 
When I was about 15, my stereo died so I decided to salvage it for parts. I opened it up using a combination of screwdriver and hammer, and inside the casing, stuck to the plastic I found a passport photograph of a teenage boy in school uniform. For some reason, it really freaked me out at the time.
 
The second "f" is actually an old-fashioned 's'. The newspaper is called 'Aftenposten'.
 
A complete business suit over the course of two streets while I lived in Newcastle.

A friend and I were walking back from a pub when we found a shoe... then about 20 feet further on, we found a sock, then the other shoe, then the other sock. Then we found a tie, a suit jacket, a shirt, a pair of trousers and finally a pair of CK black boxer briefs...

The most bizarre thing... we were walking back from Sunday lunch so it was only about 3pm and they hadn't been there on the way to the pub at 12...

Incidentally, iGav, have you ever liked any 'popular' band?
 
I found a neoprene fetish mask once on a liveaboard dive charter. The skipper denied all knowledge and said the previous week's occupants must have left it. It was styled like someone's wetsuit though, so he must have known whose it was.

Does that get extra points for being both strange and creepy?
 
How sick am I to be envious of some of the strange things that you guys have found? :eek: :D

I remember walking through some woods near my house one time (as a kid) and coming across a large Pizza Hut sign featuring a picture of the old Pizza Hut Man character. Unless you're an old geezer like me you won't remember that character. ;)

I'm guessing that some teenager had stolen the sign and hidden it out in the woods or something. But it was kind of a weird thing to wander up on at the time.
 
I just found two large elks outside the entry to my apartment building when I got home.
 
The strangest (yet truest) thing that I have found is:

We wouldn't worry so much about what others thought of us if we realized how seldom they actually did. ;)
 
My grandma is now in a nursing home so me, my parents, and my aunts and uncles are cleaning out her house so that we can sell it. She saved everything, literally everything, every card, invitation, etc.

Interesting things we found in the house...

1) Thread from her 1974 Hysterectomy stitches
2) A really really old hard boiled egg in the attic
3) A Nazi Bayonet
4) A can of "emergency drinking water" from WWII
5) Used, Saved & ironed wrapping paper
6) Two rocks of coal, and large solid cylinders of iron, al, steel, brass, etc
7) Some relatives extracted molars, as in teeth


Thats just some of the stuff I can think of off the top of my head.

Really, who saves teeth and stitches from a hysterectomy????:eek: :confused:
 
someone's iPod. It's not so much the thing that I found that was strange, it was the fact that it belonged to a fetish model/porn star that I would do any day.

Alas, I doubt a link to her um..site is appropriate :(
