I found a parrot under my car one day.

I also found a baby goat roaming around a beach. Well, I think it found me. It wouldn't bugger off! I grabbed it and walked to the opposite field, placed it behind the fence and ran back. Then about and 10 mins. later when I was getting into the car, it came running back towards me. "NO" I tend to get emotionally attached when things like that happen.

How it got over the fence, I don't know. Wish I'd kept it. :(

hah oh I've found some strange things in my time. Like this horn I found on a field when I was a kid. Gave it to my dad who had no idea what it was from. asked a farmer. nothing! It sits in my room in a box still. Saddleworth beast perhaps?

Oh, you've just reminded me. I also found the jaw of some farmyard animal (I think) on the beach. It still had some teeth in it. It was big, probably from a cow or horse.

Or a donkey!

my friend and I were hiking in the woods of his backyard, and I stepped on something and I heard a crack and I look down to see a skull of a raccoon. it seriously freaked us out. haha

I found a neoprene fetish mask once on a liveaboard dive charter. The skipper denied all knowledge and said the previous week's occupants must have left it. It was styled like someone's wetsuit though, so he must have known whose it was.

Does that get extra points for being both strange and creepy?

I dunno about points.

Did you try on the mask?

Found a body once...

There's a story here for sure... I have a similiar one! Me and a friend drove up a mountain in (a southern state near florida) at 2:00 am and passed a guy walking down - acting strange (considering he was walking down a mountain at 2 AM) - when we got to the top of the mountain road- there was a car all doors open, upholstery shredded, and a large man slumped over in the drivers seat with what appeared to be a cut throat.. We didn't stop to check and see if he was OK- we turned around and drove down the mountain fast as his car would go...
We reported it to the police - but felt on edge all night...

I also found a third graders heart felt apology to her teacher for being rude. It was a cute note.

I found a tick in my navel once.

Freaky! I just had two of those! The most recent one wasn't so bad, but the first one got buried in there good, and the bite got all swollen. I was an outie for a while!

I've found:
a guitar pick in a VIOLIN shop. (no geetars anywhere)
a latin-english dictionary in a walgreen's parking lot
MONEY IN MY POCKET.

the money one was definitely the weirdest. That's never happened before.

Found a bunch of used condoms all over a neighbor's yard about 5 years ago and spray paint all over there yard saying.... really bad stuff, yeah, let's put it that way.

Found an abandon computer in a national park.

Pulled the CPU (AMD Duron 700,) HDD (didn't work) and RAM (256SDRAM) out of it.

Sold the RAM for $50AUD on ebay after testing it, used the CPU after my Atlon 1000died, it's still going.

I used to work at a laundromat and found a used condom in a washing machine. Of course, it was my job to clean it out. Talk about make me vomit.

I also found a box of cigarettes sitting on my brother's coffee table once. Curiously enough, one of the cigarettes looked a little different from the rest. I felt kind of weird after smoking it.

I didn't, but one of the other guys on the boat did. He then chased the girls who were with us round the deck, which seriously freaked them out :D

Incidentally, iGav, have you ever liked any 'popular' band?

Heheh of course... you'd be surprised. ;)

I'm not anti-popular by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just anti-crap. :D

When I was about 15, my stereo died so I decided to salvage it for parts. I opened it up using a combination of screwdriver and hammer, and inside the casing, stuck to the plastic I found a passport photograph of a teenage boy in school uniform. For some reason, it really freaked me out at the time.

That is a little freaky isn't it.

I was trying to think of this before. I found something big once. here goes a run off list.

-strange horn
-a bottle of "drugs" when I was a kid. we couldn't go anywhere near it incase we became addicts. it was a paracetamol box.
-a dildo in a field
-a MUFC wallet with a tenner inside. nobody claimed after a month. mine!
-iPod Firewire cable. Again no claimant! mmm. USB2 and Firewire.
-a tunnel on top of the moors. Seems quite "Lost".
-dead fox :( and a rabbit skull *spooky. very spooky*
-diamond ring
-mobile phone of a guy who stole my mates mobile phone.
-Paul Scholes house.
-that an Amiga was NOT meant to be opened. it has those one-way-clips that lock the 2 plastic case parts together. oops!

nope. probably won't come to me for another month. it was huge too. like a lost cow. but not a cow.

I found a large brown paper bag containing a dead small animal and/or animal parts. The really weird part was when, a few days later, someone put the bag of rotting mess into new, fresher paper bag. I don't know why anyone would re-bag the original rotting animal bag. Must have been the scumbag who left it beside the street in the first place.

Wow... Some really interesting stuff on this thread.

The strangest thing I ever found was when I was like 10 or so -- I lived on 2.5 acres of land in rural NH, and was walking in the woods behind my house and stumbled across a large, freshly-dug hole. It was about 4-5 feet deep, almost the same in length and about 3 feet wide. It was kind of spooky.

Years later, in college, I was thinking about this experience and wondered if I had stumbled across some sort of grave. So, on my first summer break home, I went back into the woods to see if I could find it, and I did. Of course, the hole was no longer freshly-dug, but its outline and the pile of dirt next to it were unmistakeably still there. I still thought it was kind of spooky.

[Edit]: raggedjimmi's list reminded me of one more strange thing I found. I was really young (8-9) and while at the park with my parents I found two film canisters filled with plastic bags filled with some sort of dried green plant. I couldn't understand why someone would do this, so I asked my mom why someone would fill film canisters with lawn clippings. She gave the canisters to my dad, who opened them, gave them a sniff, and promptly threw them down a storm drain. In high school, I put two and two together and realized I had found some dope. If only I still had the canisters then... :)
