Browsing the reviews at T-Mobile, and could not believe the stupidity of this "power user". Numbered for convenience.

There's just too many things wrong with this device. I cannot possibly recommend it to anyone seriously entering into the smartphone world or anyone considering buying a new device. I cannot believe I even bought this thing. I will be selling it immediately and purchasing something worth my money.

1) There's absolutely nothing you can change about this device as far as customization except the wallpaper. I absolutely hate the typing experience on this and I cannot change that since iOS forces you to use it's software keyboard only and not allowing any other third party applications on their app store for it.

2) There's no application drawer, every single app you have to make it's own separate little folder sitting on the home screen, no way to change and add new ones or widgets.

3) Non-expandable storage. This is something that's been almost mandatory across all phones is the ability to expand storage with a MicroSD card and you can't do that here at all. So what you pay for is what you're stuck with.

4) The screen's absolutely tiny by today's standards I don't know how anyone even enjoys content on this small terrible resolution screen, it would've been nice if you could have at least a small very high resolution screen.

5) The camera, this thing is 8 megapixels! That's terrible by today's standards new phones have 16 megapixels. That's double the clarity, resolution.

6) Battery life on this thing is horrendous you can kill it with just a small session of regular tasks you do such as facebook, netflix, youtube. You name it! This thing just dies!

7) Forced software applications such as their SMS app you can't simply get a different app for far more customization on the iOS application store since Apple doesn't let people change that sort of thing.

8) iOS is severely limited in almost every single aspect of the phone I just can't believe it's still like this ever since the very first edition. You'd think that they'd advance and learn from other smartphone operating systems in the industry but they absolutely don't.

9) No third party application stores, you are absolutely forced to do business with apple on this phone. Competition breeds innovation and this is clearly something Apple does not want anyone to compete with them.

In short, if you're used to things simply being the way they are with you having absolutely no say in them then by all means this is the device for you. Exactly how Apple intends them to be and not the exact way you would want them to be.

No matter how you spin it this has to be the absolute most backwards thinking approach to a smartphone ever conceived.

1) Did he even TRY the damn phone before purchasing it? For a “power user”, that’s pretty pathetic. I guess he also hasn’t heard of Swype releasing an iOS SDK.

2) He claims that every single app you have creates it’s own folder with no way to change or add new folders. You can create folders by holding an app then dragging it onto another app. Expecting widgets is also pretty pathetic for a “power user”.

3) What? I have mandatory expandable storage on my Nexus 5? Mandatory on Windows Phone devices? I think not!

4) “Today’s standards”. There STILL are 4" phones out there.

5) HTC One. Nexus 5. Both have 8MP (or below) cams. More MP doesn't necessarily mean better photos. Better sensor(s) mean better photos.

6) LMAO.

7) WOW. Seriously WOW. I guess he hasn’t heard of all the messaging apps and VoIP apps on the App Store.

8) One point I actually agree on. iOS needs SOME customization.

9) ????? Wow. Doesn’t Cydia technically count as a third party app store?

The point about the camera is a bit iffy, but the rest are valid. That is not to say that people are necessary concerned about those. I don't care that I can't change the default SMS-app to something else or that I can't use 3rd party app stores. That doesn't mean that those limitations do not exist, though.

Edit: Also, the tone of the review is a tad too "rabid" for my taste, and smells like trollbait from a mile away.

It seems too rabid for me too. My troll detector went off too ;)

If only this was real:

His name has Cheese in it. I can't take him seriously. Not only that, his points were heavily dramatized with little substance. One example: Bitching about the best App store with the best apps is ridiculous.

Seems this person bought a phone without using his/her cheese-brain.

most items Cheese listed are either (to me) irrelevant or nothing new. The iPhone has been pretty consistent for years.

This person either LOVES Android/Windows or some other Smartphone OS or LOVES to complain.

I'd take a gander and say this person doesn't want to hear anyone refute their opinion or in anyway help this person. I think they came to the iPhone (if they really purchased) with a biased opinion and merely needed to sound-off to say "they were right" about the iPhone.

Mmm, cheese...

If you started out as an android user and then use an iPhone you will definitely find the iPhone cumbersome to use with all the restrictions and idiosyncrasies.

Videochat Mac to Windows?

I have a new Macbook. Videochat works fine with Mac to Mac users, however, I can't videochat with Mac to Windows. It doesn't work on iChat and also www.mebeam.com (which only shows a blue screen). Please help
