What’s the thing sitting under this 2010 Mac Mini with Video Ports?

Any ideas? I didn’t notice it mentioned in the Engadget article where I saw the picture.

So dumb… it’s a first gen Apple TV!

I thought it was some video capture device or something to go with the Mini.

Looks like 3 "red/green/blue" out ports on left (for connecting a display with those inputs), and "left/right" RCA audio outs to the right of them.

The article was posted 11 years ago.
Whatever that device under the Mini is -- probably something to do with A/V -- it's probably no longer made.

As the OP has already posted, it's a first generation Apple TV.
