Magnifying glass pops up when selecting text:

Clicking on the magnifying glass:

Sometimes it loads up an "access denied" error page.

Is this something new that's going to stick around?

Just wan't to make sure it's not just me and i have malware installed!

It's not new. It just may have been turned on by default through all the changing of things around this week.

If you go into UserCP and look for Contextual search you can turn it off if you want.

ya, it's part of our search engine that we had turned off before, since it annoyed people.
